TOPIC: WORK/JOB

1.Do you work or study?

Currently, I’m a student and a worker too. My speciality is English teaching and I
will finish my major in the year of 2024. And back to the first-year student, I
wanted to challenge myself to something new. I had a crack at the cashier in a
small supermarket and I had worked there for over three years. This job is not right
up my alley but I do think this is one of the best opportunity to look up my life.

3. Is there some other kind of work you would rather do?

Yes, to be an immaculate master of speech is the desire I always dream of. I was
immersed in the power of words, the professionalism in handling situations. I’m a
die-hard fan of MC Hoai Thanh who hosts a news program on VTV1 at 7 p.m.
This job resembles both challenging and fascinating but I still chase my dream to
make it come true.

5. What do you dislike about your job?

About my part-time job, there are several things I feel uncomfortable with. The
first problem is that the job requirement asks employees to stand in sales during the
working time. The next issue is that this job is not straightforward, I need to solve
customer’s problems in time. From time to time, I had to ask my boss for help to
handle the needs of some strict customers. All in all, every job has its own
challenges, so I am still thankful for the opportunity that comes up to me.

7. Is there anything special about your job?

Yes, I learnt a lot of social skills when I spent free time working as a saleswoman.
I have a chance to communicate with people of different ages and gradually
matured by how to face real problems in life. My boss is easy-going and warm-
hearted. He allows his staff to have a short-break whenever they feel tired. The
thing I love the most when I start working here is the comfortable and familiar
feeling of being at home. So that's all the great things that impress about my part-
time job.
9. What do you do after work?

After having a shower to freshen up, I decided to take a break from screen time
and enjoy a few computer-free hours. Feeling tired, I decided to crash out early and
get a good night's sleep. Before I could doze off, I made sure to turn in and prepare
for bed, ensuring a restful night ahead. By following this routine, I was able to
recharge and relax without the distraction of technology.

TOPIC: STUDY

1.Do you work or are you a student?

I’m a senior at HaNoi pedagogical university 2 and I am supposed to gain

admission to the university next year. It will be a competitive opportunity to get a
job after I have just graduated. My journey will be tougher if I procrastinate on my
long-term goal.

3.What do you like about your study?

I’m training as a teacher right now so I'm fond of guiding, compiling the lesson in
English to my students. Besides, I have a particular liking for the library. The place
has a wide range of books containing lots of knowledge. Furthermore, top-notch
facilities are equipped with qualified teachers that support me to gain
determination. Those things create a modern environment to do my favorite things

5.What is your favorite subject at school?

I have started learning a new semester for three weeks and I am heavily into
pedagogical practicing discourse in which we try practicing teaching a lesson in
front of the whole class. It is neither a new subject nor new area of my study I need
to explore but It will be supportive for my upcoming internship. I am keen on
learning this subject as I am in love with teaching English.

7.Would you say that you are a good student?

Well, I think it is not reliable when I judge myself whether I'm good or not. I
should have my teacher and my friends give me some comments about my
strengths and weaknesses. To be honest, I never play truant from any teacher to do
private things. Learning is my priority because the time for a senior procrastination
is the biggest regret. It’s imperative that I have no time to miss any deadline, and
surf tiktok in my free time. I need to put pressure on myself, try hard and then
shine.

9. What kind of school did you go to as a child?

Back to the time when I was a little girl, my mother took me to a public elementary
school in my hometown. I remember at that time, I was overwhelmed by the size
of that school and there were both adults and kids the same age with me in front of
the school gate. That is the first memory when I went to a primary school and
never forget how that school raised me up with both an excellent learning
environment and high quality education.

from my teacher and my friends, I couldn’t study as well as I expected.

3. Which subject did you find the most difficult at school?

Every 12 years I studied at school, I was obsessed with studying Mathematics. It is

said that people who are left-handed have the right hemisphere of the brain more
developed than the right one and often have more literary ability than mathematical
thinking. It is not right for all of you but simply it’s right for me. I couldn’t cope

love for the new language.

7. Have you ever returned to see your old school again?

Well, no. My house is quite far from school so it isn’t within walking distance of
my house. On a regular basis, I drop by my school on special occasions such as :
November 20, September 5 and then I pay a visit to my old homeroom teacher. I
often had a stroll and then had a lunch with her before leaving

TOPIC: TEACHER

1. Do you like any teacher of yours?

Yes, my form teacher and also my literature teacher at secondary school is the
person I impressed the most. I can not imagine how she was different at school and
at home. In front of class, she is a strict and admirable model of a successful
woman in contrast to the gentle beauty of a woman for her family. On a regular
basis on teacher's day, my class holds a small party to celebrate her day. We have
truly realized that she always wants the best for her students.

Honestly, no. Becoming a teacher is not the right person I am supposed to be. I had
a dream that prompted me to be a MC but my efforts are not good enough to make
my dream come true. So I made a decision that changed my direction, my goal a
lot. I have signed up for Pedagogical University and my specialty is English
teaching. Teaching is a tough job and maybe it is too demanding for me but with
my existing love of English, I will definitely conquer it.

At primary school, I used to look forward to learning literature lessons because the
teacher – Ms Thoa – a literature teacher is my favorite teacher. She was so special
with her long smooth hair and white skin. Her voice was gentle, inspiring and
filled with understanding. Because of her impressive teaching and her good sense

have still remembered a small part of her lesson and that will be my unforgettable
memory.
