On Wednesday, April 27, 2016 from 12pm to 4pm at Pennsylvania Convention Center six to

eight participants attended a Diversity Career Fair (Redefining Diversity in Philadelphias City).
The Philadelphia Diversity Career Fair celebrating its 15th year at the Pennsylvania Convention
Center looked forward to help jumpstart the diversity workforce. Participants from the GEO Reentry program had the opportunity to meet with the City of Philadelphia Mayor Kenney and
express their concerns of re-entering society and finding/obtaining employment. The participants
who attended the job fair were able to share and give their resumes to Mayor Kenny and are
looking forward to hearing from his office.
Well over 30 vendors; and 3 panel discussions took part in this event and provided information
and resources about hiring and training opportunities throughout the Philadelphia area. Such
vendors included in this event were the following: PECO (Philadelphia Electric Company), City
of Philadelphia-(Apprenticeships, and Training Programs), PGW (Philadelphia Gas Works),
Comcast (Cable), Philadelphia International Airport, and Delaware Port Authority. The panel
discussion focused on topics such as: CEO talk on Diversity/Federal Government.
