Serialization level is optional i.e., when you create an equipment(IE08) for supplied to
customer and while receiving equipment for maintenance you want capture the Serial
Number. This case may be addressed by keeping blank i.e., equipment number and
serial number non-synchronous.

4.0 EQUIPMENT MASTER


Through SAP sales order with serial number in material master any equipment
supplied/delivered , one Equipment number per each serial number for a relevant
part is created automatically in system and check by using following transaction.
Go To transaction IQ09 and check the equipment availability for a serial number
