It is said that poverty in america is exaggerated. What's more, they are overwhelming
likely to also have such modern amenities as a car, air conditioner, refrigerator, microwave, cable
television, clothes washer and dryer, cell phones, and even video gaming systems. mentioned in
the article Poverty In America Is Greatly Exaggerated. Back in the day the people now living in
poverty would be living the life of a rich family back a couple years back. The definition of
poverty for me would be not being able to provide food for your family or not being able to buy
decent clothes or an okay looking shelter. The home of the typical poor family was not
overcrowded and was in good repair. In fact, the typical poor American has more living space
than the average European. Poverty rates in the United States increased over the 2000s,
Turning to an international comparison of poverty rates, we examine the share of the population
living below half the median household income in the United States We have two basic poverty
problems in the United States. One is the prevalence of low-wage work. The other concerns
those who have almost no work. In many low paying jobs there are a large variety of workers
which means they get less hours to work for each worker. One-third of the population has an
income below what would be $36,000 for a family of three. Over one in six Americans live in
poverty and Over half of Americans will live in poverty sometime during their lives. America's
poor are only poor by American standards We might think that living in poverty in america is
having a rough life however we forget that america is a rich nation, that means that living in
poverty in america is like living like a rich family in other places.
