Dec. 19-23, 2016

Hello Everyone,

We learned about Advent

and the Nativity story in
Religion. In Language Arts
we practised our Daily 5
strategies and wrote
about Christmas
memories.. In Math we
worked on our Gingerbread
building project. We finished
our Christmas Around the
World unit in Social Studies.
We played cooperative
games and had free time in
Gym. We had an Advent
Prayer Service and the last
week of options.

We will be learning more

about Advent in Religion. In
Language Arts we will be
working on Daily 5 choices
and finishing our Christmas
memories. In Math we will
continue with Numbers of
the Week and will build our
Gingerbread houses. In
Social we will keep learning
about Christmas traditions
and holidays around the
world. We will be playing
cooperative games in Phys.
Ed. and will keep working in
Art, French, and Health!

Monday Dec. 19: Gingerbread building day: bring any extra supplies
Tuesday Dec. 20: Grinch Day and Turkey Dinner (at lunch). Wear green and
dress like a Who.
Wednesday Dec 21: Christmas Festival Rehearsal. Wear Christmas hats.
Thursday Dec 22: Christmas Family Festival. Christmas Sweater Day!
Friday Dec 23: Advent Prayer Service 9:10, Assembly- 11:35, Pajama Day
