School News

By
Georgia Linardou,
C1
I:Why did you run for
the school council and the
presidency?
G: To begin with, one of
the most important reasons was my willingness
to organize our school
and the school council .
Also, I had a lot of ideas
that I wanted to
materialise.
I:How did you manage to
convince your peers to
vote for you ?
G: I believe that my electoral speech played a very
important role in my election. In my speech I delineated my plans for the
future. Moreover, I never
coerced my fellow students to vote for me. Furthermore, I always told
them the truth.
I: You mentioned earlier
about your plans for the
future, what are those?
G: First of all, I would
like to enhance the school
equipment. Also, I would
like to organise some
events that will update the
cultural level of our
school.
I: How do you feel about
being president?
G: To tell you the truth, I
am not really happy because I wasnt elected by

my peers but by the

school council. However,
since I now hold the position of the school president , I am looking forward to improving our
school.
I: is there a good cooperation among the members of school council?
G:In general there is .
However that depends on
me and how I organize
them as well as how I
distribute the responsibilities to each member.
I: How often do you have
meetings and what are the
issues that you discuss?
G: We havent set a specific day yet. In general
we have meetings when it
is necessary. When our
schedule is set I believe
that we will have meetings at least once a
month. As far as the issues that we discussed are

concerned , members
(including me ) usually
present the problems or
issues that concern our
school . Afterwards, we
examine each subject and
we decide which are the
possible solutions.
I: What about the future ?
Do you imagine yourself
holding in a position in
the government?
G:My engagement with
politics is not in my future
plans. I am not interested
in it. I dont like it and I
dont want to be a politician
I: Ok ,thank you very
much , have nice day!
G: You re welcome!
Have a nice day. Bye !

located in the center of the
prefecture of Fokida, covering the waters of a basin west
