Information vs Insight

Information is the knowledge gained from the data collected. Collection of data will help to
understand about the measured variable. Insight is the result obtained after conducting a research
analysis on the information. In other words, an organized data is the information whereas the
extract obtained from the information is the insight. Keen observation of information will give
insight.
For example, collecting temperature data sets will give information about the weather conditions,
whereas in depth analysis of this information using different models will give a deeper insight
such as how much rain or snow will be there, the destructive effect of storm/tornado etc.
