This document tells how to move Java objects in CB* Java landscape (i.e.

CBD, CBQ and CBP)


using CTS+ which is configured in SMD box.

Following are the steps:

First login to CBD portal with your ID


Create portal content in CBD
Create transport package to move portal content created at step 2 in CBD
Add portal content to transport package
Export transport package. This will store .epa file at server who location is
displayed on the screen. Also you can download .epa file to your desktop by
clicking on the link provided on the screen
6. Download the .epa file to your desktop
7. Go to Transport Web UI tab (Note: This is a role created for creating Transport
request, attaching objects to transport request and releasing the transport request
in SMD directly by sitting in CBD, This is called loose coupling. This facility is
available by default from SPS 14 onwards, which is called close coupling)
8. Create the transport request
9. Attached the object which were downloaded after exporting to desktop
10. Click on request; go to bottom of the page, under attributes, change target system
from VIR to QBC. If it is already QBC, leave it as it is.
11. Release the transport request
12. Once it is successfully released, request will be moved to released state from
modifiable
13. After 15 20 mts you can automatically find the portal content in CBQ which
was created in CBD. If you dont find the content in CBQ after the specified,
please contact administrator.
Following are the screen shots of above steps:
Note: Here first two steps screen shots are not copied, as portal developers know
how to login and create portal content.

Go to System administration Transport, right click on folder and create transport package

Add the content to transport package

Click on Export button to export the content

Click on download export file to save the exported content on to your desktop

Go to Transport_Web_UI tab and click on create request

Select the request and click on attach object button

Select QBC system and click on save button (This is the quality system of CB landscape)

Select the request and click on release button to release the request

Change to released to see released request. Once released is done successfully, it will be imported in
QBC (i.e. CBQ) automatically after 15mts. In this way portal content will be available in CBQ after
15 to 20 mts.
