Today is a presentation practice day. Remember that your presentation has to be in
between six and nine minutes. This means each of you will talking for two to three
minutes. It might work best for you to split up the topics on your poster board between the
people in your group. For instance, one person could talk about food and shelter, another
person could talk about tools and beliefs, and then the third person could talk about
transportation and geography. Since you will only be talking for two or three minutes, you
should not use notecards. You should know the information about your group well enough
to be able to talk about it for two or three minutes. After you decide who will talk about
what, practice your own part for a few minutes. Then practice as a whole group for the rest
of the class period.
Teacher will write three steps on board:
1. Choose who will talk about what
2. Individually practice what you will say out loud (to the wall)
3. Practice the presentation with your whole group
Closure
Reflection:

Students will use the rest of the class period to practice their presentation.
