Wairau Valley
The Wairau Valley connects Marlborough with the West Coast via St
Arnaud. Long rows of vines weave through the valley, changing the
landscape every season, from green to gold to russet red, before
spring brings lush green again. Explore our wine country by bike, car
or tour van, and discover what makes Marlboroughs wine so special.
Spring
Crisp mornings and warm, sunny afternoons will have you
spellbound by spring in Marlborough.
As new buds form on the regions fruit trees and vines, spring
marks the release of the latest Sauvignon Blanc vintage the
wine that put Marlborough on the world wine stage.
The new growth is a fantastic time to explore private gardens
from the edge of the Pacific Ocean to the heart of the
Marlborough Sounds during New Zealands premier garden
festival, Nelmac Garden Marlborough.
Its the season for gourmets too, with fresh seasonal fare at
restaurants, cafs and markets throughout the region.
