Title:

Investigation on Sources of Water, Water Impurities and its Treatment Methods

Scope: Topic 1: Introduction

Topic 2: Water Characteristics, Quality Testing and Standards
Topic 3: Water Supply and Treatment

CLO 1: To identify the sources of water and its impurities and to perform complex design of water
treatment plant to meet the standard limits.
Grouping: According to lab grouping

Part 1 (5 marks)
Rule #1: Prepare an introduction on scope that you are interested (3 to 5 pages)
Rule #2: Prepare 6 questions with justifiable answers. Keep it confidential. Do not leak your questions
and answers to other group.

Submission to E-learning: Week 10, 19 Jul 2015, Wed 5 pm.

Part 2 (5 marks)
There will be a scoreboard for your marks. Scoreboard defines your mark for this part of assignment
Rule #1: Answer questions given by any other group. Selection of question will be randomized.

Scoreboard game: Week 10, Fri Lecture class, 22 Jul 2016, 3-5 pm.

Note:
Assignment Part 1 A4 size, Arial, font size 11, 1.5 spacing, submit online to E-learning. Late submission
is not allowed.
The question may relate to sustainable elements, pollutions issue, technical knowledge as well as
fundamental theories.

Assignment Part 2 Mark will be given and compiled in the session.

Evaluation on Part 1: Your depth of study on the subject matter as well as the appropriateness and depth
of questions you formulated.
Rationale: To provide you a good understanding on subject matter. Asking question/ teaching other
improves your understanding.

Evaluation on Part 2: Depends on your answer to the question asked by other.

Rationale: To provide you a chance for different way of learning.
