fundamentalperiod(alsoprimitiveperiod,basicperiod,orprimeperiod.)AfunctionwithperiodPwillrepeat
onintervalsoflengthP,andtheseintervalsarereferredtoasperiods.
Geometrically,aperiodicfunctioncanbedefinedasafunctionwhosegraphexhibitstranslationalsymmetry.
