Gate vs Globe Valve Performance Analysis

The document contains data from experiments measuring the flow rate of water through two different types of valves - a gate valve and a globe valve - as the time taken and head loss were varied. For the gate valve, the flow rate decreased as time increased from 5 to 6.25 seconds. Head loss ranged from 4300 to 2195 mmH2O as flow rate decreased. For the globe valve, flow rate also decreased as time increased from 4.25 to 6.88 seconds. Head loss ranged from 118 to 60 mmH2O. Charts are presented showing the relationship between head loss and the experimental K loss factor for each valve type.
