Excelling in the field of Family Advocacy and Education is possible when using the tools
of determination, perseverance, and dedication. Communication and compassion are important
when working with families and children, this is a strength that I have built while serving a
diverse of families who are economically disadvantaged. The other population that has been a
focus are those children who deserve the least restrictive environment to excel developmentally
with their typically developing peers. All children have the right to be in a respectful
environment that enhances their development for their future. Social and emotional support is
vital in developing the childs sense of core self-confidence.
Building relationships by using a sensitive approach are vital in serving families of all
needs. Confidentiality, trust, and respect are essential when serving young children and their
families. Fidelity is crucial in all relationships.
