I choose my history fair project because I was inspired how Nelson

Mandela made an impact in the world. Even though what he did
happened many years ago across the world his story still inspires

many people today. This topic is so important because Nelson

Mandela was imprisoned for 27 years he was freed in 1990 and
became the first black South African president in 1994, just four
years after he was imprisoned.
I found my most useful information through websites and books
such as the Nelson Mandela books. I went to several websites
where some of the information was being repeated so then I
looked to primary sources which are the books because they are
from Nelson Mandela himself.
One of my friends referred me to The struggle is my life. I
wanted to get most of my information from all his books but there
is just too much. When I didnt have enough information from the
book I found primary sources one of them was letter from Nelson
to Hendrik Verwoerd. That was very interesting, I thought so I
looked deeper for more letters but I couldnt find as many as I
wanted to.
