crushed ice. This is especially popular in the springtime. And did you know that maple
syrup is so popular that Canada exported it out to many other countries in 2014 and
when one year had past they had already earned 380 million dollars only on maple
syrup!

Les sports, la pche blanche


Ice fishing is a very a famous sport in Quebec passed down from the Amerindians and
Inuits. Ice fishing is also known as La pche blanche in French. To do ice fishing, people
have to wait until the ice is very thick on the rivers and lake, when the ice is thick enough
they make a hole through it and start fishing. To defend themselves against the wind
and weather, they make a small camp.

Ever since the beginning of Quebec, the populus of the french colony celebrated a
rowdy Tradition of getting together closed to Lent to eat, drink, and have fun. The
custom of celebrating between the end of january to mid-february has been popular for
a long time. Even though they have added a mascot named bonhomme and an
ice-castle, it is still a big, rowdy celebration at heart.

LInternational de montgolfires was started in 1984 when the Chamber of Commerce,
the Office du Tourisme and the Conseil Economique du Haut-Richelieu started looking
for a way to promote tourism and develop the regions economy during the season of
the festival.

Jeanne Mance was a nurse and a settler. Among the founders of Montreal, Canada,she
established the first hospital in New France called Htel-Dieu de Montral. In 1645 she
returned twice to France to seek financial support for her hospital.

they have shared with the world. One of these traditions include dog sledding,which is
now a popular way to get a good tour of the area. Another is Ice Fishing which is a very
fun and interesting experience to try.

There are many lakes but 1 of them is called Lake Louise, it is known for canoeing and doing yoga.
The west island shore is mostly built-up with private houses, but it has some parks and clubs such as the
Pointe-Claire Canoe Club, and the Pointe-Claire Yacht Club. Islands in the lake include l'le-Dorval, and
Dowker Island.

One of their biggest traditions is maple syrup. It is poured on ice and left for about a minute or so, then
rolled up when it's harder with popsicle sticks. Maple syrup was first found and used by the indigenous
peoples of North America, and the practice was also used by European settlers, who eventually improved
production methods.
