We see Johnny walk in through the front door while his mum
follows him. Johnny looks uninterested in what his mum is
saying yet she is extremely upset and frustrated. The lighting
is dim reflecting the mood of the conversation.
Fade in
Mum
Why do you always leave me in this position?
Johnny
(Ignores his mother and continues walking away)
Mum
(Grabs His arm)
Do not walk away from me! Im sick of getting phone calls from the college and
having to dig you out of trouble.
Johnny
What trouble! I never get in trouble at college
Mum
Thats because youre never at college!
Johnny
College does nothing for me; I have had this conversation with you so many
times. Im better off working on what Im good at and if that impacts college
thats a sacrifice Im willing to make.
Mum
That is not how it works! College takes priority and thats not a house rule Its
the law!
But obviously that doesnt matter to you either, 3 times this week Ive had to
pick you up from the police station. Trespassing, resisting arrest, Seriously!
Johnny
That factory was abandoned! We didnt damage anything or disturb anyone. That
old lady just hates kids and called the pigs.
(storms into the living room)
Mum
(Follows Johnny)
Your father was one of those pigs!
Remember that he worked to catch people exactly like you!
