ObjectoftheGame:
InAeonsEnd,youmustbuildadeckofgems,relics,andspellsinordertodefeattheincoming
nemesis.Youstartwithatencarddeck,whichyoumustimproveoverthecourseofthegamein
ordertodefeatthenemesis.Eachturnyoumayacquirenewgemsandrelics,learnnewspells(by
purchasingthemfromthesupply),castspells,andincreaseyourcastingpotentialbyopening
additionalbreaches.Ineachgameyouwillfightanemesis,allofwhomhavedifferentabilitiesand
uniquecardsaddedtotheirdeck.Yourgoalistodefeatthenemesisbeforeyourhome,

TurnOrderDeck
Theturnorderdeckisalwayscomposedoffourplayerturncardsandtwonemesisturncards.
Theturnordercardsforeachplayercorrespondtotheirplayernumber.Foratwoplayergame,
placetwoturnordercardsforeachplayerinthedeck.Forthreeplayers,placeoneturnorder
cardforeachplayerplustheWildturnordercardinthedeck.Whenthewildturnordercardis
drawn,theplayersdecidewhichoneofthemwilltakethatturn.Thewildturnordercardisa
playerturnordercard.Forfourplayers,placeoneturnordercardinthedeckforeachplayer.
Regardlessoftheplayercount,addtwonemesisturnordercardstothedeckandshuffleit.When
theturnorderdeckisemptyandanewturncardmustbedrawnorrevealed,shufflealloftheturn
ordercardstogetherandplacethemfacedowntomaketheturnorderdeckagain.

NemesisDeck
Thenemesisdeckconsistsofthreetiersofcards.Chooseanemesistoplayagainst,andsetits
nemesismatneartheplayers.Eachnemesishasasetofcardswiththeirnamewrittenatthe
bottomleft.Inaddition,thereareGeneralcardsthatdonotbelongtoanyspecificnemesis,but
someofwhichareincludedineachnemesisdeck.Eachnemesishasthreecardspertierspecific
tothatnemesisthatwillbeincludedinthenemesisdeck,wherethetierisindicatedbya1,2,or3
inthebottomrightofthecard.
Theremaybeothercardsincludedbesidesthenemesisdeckdependingonwhichnemesisyoure
playingagainst.

Tomakethenemesisdeck,includethethreenemesisspecificcardsthatshowthattiersnumber
inthebottomright,thenaddthenumberofgeneralnemesiscardsshowninthechartbelow,
basedonthenumberofplayersinthegame.Shufflethechosengeneralnemesiscardsandthe

GamePlay

resolvetheeffectafterthewordCast:onthecard.Thisisyourprimarymeansofdealing
damage.Everyspellpreppedinaclosedbreach(thatis,aspellthatwaspreppedtoafocused
breachinthepreviousturn)mustbeCastduringthecastingphase.Somebreacheshavea+1
damagewhenCasteffectoncetheyareopened.WhenaspellisCastfromanopenedbreach
thathasthiseffect,thatspelldeals1additionaldamage,evenifthatspellseffectwouldnormally
deal0damage.Whenyoudealdamagetoaminion,removelifetokensfromthatminioncard
equaltothedamageyoudealt.Whenyoudealdamagetothenemesis,subtractthatdamage

TherearesomeeffectsinAeonsEndthatwillallowyoutoCastotherplayerspreppedspells.
WhenyouCastaspell,youaretheyoureferredtoonthespell,regardlessofwhosebreachthe
spellispreppedin,andyoumakeanydecisionspertainingtothatspell.Forexample,ifyouplay
TemporalHelixonanallyspreppedDarkFire,whichrequirestheplayertodiscarduptotwo
cardsfromtheirhand,youmustdiscardthecardsandchoosethenemesisorminionthatDark
Firedamages.

Thefollowingfiveactionscanbedoneinanyorder,anynumberoftimes.Forexample,youcould
playagem,gainacard,prepaspell,playanothergemcard,andgainanothercard.

A. Playagemorreliccard:Whenyouplayacard,youmustexecuteallofthetextonthat
card,ifpossible.IfthereisanOR,youchooseexactlyoneoftheoptionslisted.Youmay
gain
evenifyouchoosenottospendit.Any
gainedonaturnthatisnotspentis
lost.Itdoesnotrollovertothenextturn.Attheendofyourturn,anygemorreliccards

E. ResolveWhileprepped...effects:Youcanusetheeffectofanyofyourspellsthat
haveaWhilepreppedeffecttheturnthatspellisprepped,oranysubsequentturn
whileitisstillprepped.
F. Gaincharges:Aplayermaypay2
togainacharge.Whengainingacharge,placea
chargetokenonthecharactermatbeneaththeabilitydescription.Youcannothavemore
chargesthantheabilityrequires.

3DrawPhase

Onceyouhavefinishedyourmainphase,placeallofthecardsyouplayedfromyourhandthis
turnintoyourdiscardpileinanyorder.Then,drawcardsfromthetopofyourdeckuntilyouhave
fivecardsinhand.Thereisnomaximumhandsize.Youmaynotchoosetodiscardcardsduring
yourturn.Youdonotdiscardyourhandbeforerefillingyourhandbackuptofivecards.Ifatany
timeyouwoulddraworrevealacardandyouhavenocardsinyourdeck,flipoveryourdiscard
pileanditbecomesyourdeck.(Unlikeinmanyotherdeckbuildinggames,youdonotshuffleyour

now.Eachpowercardinplaywilllose1powertoken.Afterremovingatoken,ifapowercardhas
notokensonit,resolvetheeffectthatisshownafterPOWERX:anddiscarditfromplay.

DrawPhase

Drawanemesiscard,ifpossible.Ifthedrawncardisanattackcard,resolveallthetextonthe
cardimmediately,intheorderthatitappearsonthecard,andplaceitinthenemesissdiscard
pile.Iftheplayersmustresolveaneffect,butcannotcompleteallofit,thentheyresolveasmuch
aspossible.Ifthecardisaminionorapower,firstexecuteanytextthatfollowstheword
IMMEDIATELY:,thenplacethecardinplay.Ifitisaminioncard,placelifetokensequaltoitslife
onthecard.Ifitisapowercard,placepowertokensequaltothenumbershownafterPOWER
onthecard.Persistentandpowereffectsonlyoccurduringthenemesissmainphase,sothose
areignoreduntilthenemesissnextturn.Aminionslifeisdenotedintheleftpartofthemiddleof

Ambiguity
Nemesiscardsmayhaveambiguoussituationswhereitsnotclearwhatorwhoshouldbe
affected.Forexample,ifanemesiscardmakestheplayerwiththelowestlifesufferdamageand
twoplayershavethesameamountoflifethentheplayersdecidewhosuffersdamage.Another
cardmayhavetheplayerwiththemostchargessufferdamagewhennoplayershaveany
charges.Inthiscasealso,theplayerschoosewhowillsufferthedamage.

WhenresolvingcardswithOReffects
WhenanemesiscardgivestwooptionsseparatedbyanOR,youmaychooseeitheroption,
unlessyoucannotfullyresolveoneofthem.Inthatcase,youmustchoosetheeffectthatyoucan
fullyresolve.
