To give an appreciation of the


nature and role of language and
literature in the modern world.
To give an understanding of
issues and themes in literature
today as a reflection of modern
society.
Students will also be required to
deconstruct representations of a
public identity in a range of
media texts. They will analysis
language in the texts to appraise
attitudes and beliefs about this
identity. They will synthesis their
findings to show their audience
how readers are positioned
about their public figure.
