POWER DOWN FROM START


Marina Bustamante comes from a poor family Barrios Altos and remembers his
penchant for leather was born from very young to see his grandfather made
this noble material. Eventually there would be a succession of twists and turns
to success today she owns and general manager Renzo Costa.
THE GARAGE, FIRST WORKSHOP
After finishing school, Marina had the urge to have a company that would allow
her to realize their aspirations and ideas. The garage of his home was his first
workshop, although his father, initially, preferred his daughter to study a
career.
STUDY AND CREATIVITY
Studying psychology at a well-Known university developed in parallel his
passion: transforming leather. In his workshop created leather wallets and belts
by hand and its products they began to be known among the owners of
boutiques in Lima due to the fact that her originality and quality of her work.
BORN RENZO COSTA
While she was studying at her university, she decided to marry and had her
first child. During this period, although Marina did not have a big budget to rent
a shop in a gallery she decided to get a shop in Union Jiron Lima which she
named as her eldest sons name, Renzo Costa.
BIG ORDER AND SUCCESS
She managed the orders and showed the products in stores before delivery.
This allowed her to get new customers. The great reception allows you to hire
more staff.
TRAVEL AND NEW HORIZONS
Her new establishment Already installed she decides to travel to Argentina to
expand their knowledge in the art of producing leather goods and so took the
decision to venture in this market and produces exclusive designs.
HEADING ABROAD
When everything was booming business in the late eighties, the difficult times
of terrorism forced Marina and her family to move in a southern neighbor. In
Chile, She opened several locals "Renzo Costa" which had great success. Years
later, she returned to Peru and opened new stores in different parts of the
country.
CRISIS AND OPPORTUNITIES

The climate of the years 1997-1998 affection sales market even leather
jackets. It was the hardest time, but MArina wanted to top off the mark so that
she took the decision of making this threat into an opportunity to expand other
products such as leather wallets and accessories.
NOT SCARE TO NOTHING
"Those who come from down does not scare us anything because having a
difficult situations gave us a life lesson. That is our strength to move forward,
"says Marina. "Do not be scared face of difficulties, you always have to be
persistent to have confidence in yourself," she consideres by herself as an
entrepreneur, who does not stop at the new challenges.
BE PERSISTENT
Renzo Costa brand expanded its horizons and now has a presence in the main
shopping malls like Plaza San Miguel and the Jockey Plaza. In addition, it
exports its products to demanding markets like the United States, Germany and
the Netherlands. There are difficulties but new markets are opening up for the
quality of this successful Peruvian entrepreneur.
