COMPETITIONS

Competitions are available to students who would like to challenge themselves, gain confidence or
enjoy the competitive side of dancing.

Troupes
Group routine which will compete at competitions and perform in the Atwell concert.
No audition required for troupes but commitment and team work is essential.
Solos
One on one private lessons to learn and perfect a routine to compete at competitions.
Duos/Trios
Working together with one or two other students on a routine to compete with at competitions.

General Class Requirements for Troupes/Duos/Trios/Solos

Modern - Jazz and Classical class required
Lyrical/Contemporary - Lyrical/Contemporary and Classical class required
Tap - Tap Class required
Hip Hop Hip Hop class required
Acrobatics Acro/Jazz and Classical required
Classical (Classical/Demi/Neo/National) Classical class required

Competition Information
The 3 competitions below are our studios competitions for the year. I will be there to support every
student who competes on stage. If students/parents wish to enter other competitions throughout
the year, please check with me first. Priority will be the 3 comps below therefore if there is a clash of
times between 2 comps you must compete where our school will be.
All students competing at comps will need to purchase a dance jacket to wear whilst they are
competing for the school.

Our troupes will be competing in the April and July Competitions and our solos/duos and trios can
compete in October too.

Comp music prices Please pay money to your comp teacher for these CDs (please note you will
require 2 CDs for comps if competing in solos/duos or trios)

$20 for Hour with an advanced teacher

$15 for Hour with a student teacher
$40 for Hour with an advanced teacher
$30 for Hour with a student teacher
Duos/Trios share the amount
Troupe classes are the same price as general classes and included with fees
