Reflection

25 out of 30 pupils achieved the objective of reading with the correct


pronunciation. However, pupils found the meaning of words given
were difficult and had given the wrong guess entirely. Pupils were
able to answer the comprehension questions after the discussion.

Able to write in neat cursive writing with correct spelling.

Learning Objective

Pupils would be able to understand the importance of punctuation in


making correct sentences for six sentences, able to rewrite a
passage with correct full stop, comma, question mark, capital letter,
exclamation mark, and quotation mark.

Successful Criteria

Pupils achieve success if they can get at least four correct answers
out of six questions, and get at least 50% correct answers from the
given passage.

Activity

1. Pupils tell what they understand by full stop, comma question


mark, capital letter, exclamation mark, and quotation mark.
2. Pupils work in pairs and rewrite six sentences.
3. Pupils discuss the answers with their teacher.
4. Pupils rewrite a passage using correct punctuation which they
learnt just now.
5. Pupils send their written work for marking and reading for
making corrections.

24 out of 30 pupils achieved the objective. The pupils managed to


write quite well, about 60% of them were writing very nicely. Those
who did not were given a personal guidance, by writing the answers
again on the board.

Pupils would be able to understand the meaning of compound nouns,


give examples of this noun, and joining two possible words to
produce a compound noun.

Pupils achieve success if they can at least guess five correct answer
for the eight pictures, complete at least 8 out of twelve compound
nouns, matching at least four out of seven compound nouns and fill in
at least three out of six blanks correctly.

Activity

1. Pupils tell the meaning of compound noun.


2. Pupils give example of compound nouns by looking at the
pictures.
3. Pupils complete the compound nouns given in their textbook.
4. Pupils further practise their skill by matching the designated

memorising the plural nouns for some. Those who were unable

given countable nouns and five out of eight uncountable nouns, and
answer at least three out of eight questions from the given sentences.

Activity

1. Pupils tell what they have understood by the countable and


uncountable nouns.
2. Pupils go through a set of countable nouns together with the
teacher.
3. Pupils differentiate the countable noun from the uncountable
noun by looking at another set of uncountable nouns.
4. Pupils work in group of four and find the nouns in the given
sentences.
5. Pupils learn to use words like a, an, a few, several, many,

some, plenty of, a lot of, a little, and much.

35 out of 39 pupils achieved the objective. The pupils were quite


familiar with the nouns. However, a small group of pupils were totally
confused about the concepts and the teacher explained them in
depth at the end of the class.
