Abas IN THE MATTER OF THE EARLY DISTRIBUTION OF ELECTION FORMS, PARAPHERNALIA AND SUPPLIES TO THE BOARD OF ELECTION INSPECTORS (BEIs) In order to ensure that election forms, paraphernalia and supplies for far-flung areas are distributed in time for the May 9, 2016 Elections, the Commission RESOLVED, as it hereby RESOLVES, to adopt the recommendation of Deputy Executive Director for Operations Bartolome J. Sinocruz, Jr.’ to adopt COMELEC Resolution No. 9051 for the May 9, 2016 National and Local Elections, subject to the following changes’ 1. That instead of the Regional Election Directors, authority to approve early distribution of election forms, paraphernalia and supplies to the Board of Election Inspectors (BEls) be devolved to the Provincial Election Supervisors considering that they are more familiar with the basis for early distribution; 2. That the early distribution of election forms, documents and supplies be conducted only within two (2) days before election day; and 3. That steps be taken to ensure the security of the subject election forms, documents and supplies. This Resolution supplements COMELEC Resolution No. 10057 Let the Deputy Executive Director for Operations implement this Resolution; the Education and Information Department to disseminate this Resolution to all Regional Election Directors, Provincial Election Supervisors and Election Officers; and the Information the COMELEC website.
