To Whom It May Concern:
The Education Undergraduate Society arranges and provides Professional Development
workshops for education students at the University of Lethbridge. This letter is written at the
request of Alana Millard who attended the following seminars from September to October
of 2015:
Wednesday September 16th: Carly Sharpe: "Stress Management"
A presentation focused on learning tools and strategies to manage stress and increase happiness and
flourishing.
Thursday October 1st: Richelle Marynowski: "Numeracy"
This session will focus on the Numeracy benchmarks as drafted by Alberta Education. Participants will
get a chance to engage in numeracy building activities that they can use in their teaching.
Tuesday October 27th: Marian Biggins and Sue Bengry: "What About Those Exceptional Kids?"
At this session, students will learn about the information you should gather if you have concerns about a
student's learning, and the resources available when you have a student with a disability in your class.
Wednesday October 28th: Carmen Mombourquette: What About Boys?
This session focuses on boys and their apparent lack of academic success in school.
