In Physics class during the first semester, we learned about using net force and acceleration and

used it in problem solving. In the assignment I chose, we took real life situations and calculated
forces, used equations, and made diagrams to illustrate what was happening. The main focus was
to quantify the forces applied in a situation, and using it to determine the acceleration. First we
had to calculate forces in an elevator situation, determine the forces that were exerted, and see
which one was greater, less than, or equal. Next, we had to determine the acceleration on
situations like a skydiver and quantify the forces. Finally, we had to use free body force diagrams
and use skills such as COS sign and apply it to the situation. I chose this assignment because at
first, it was very difficult for me to comprehend and figure out. After practicing and working
towards a point of understanding, it finally clicked. This was the first assignment from this topic
that I got a 100% on. I believe it applies to life skills because it gives you practice in plugging in
equations and it helps you to use logic when comprehending the world around us.
