Installing Live 7
1. Windows: The Live setup application should automatically launch. Please follow
the instructions on the screen to install Live. Note: If the setup application does
not automatically launch, you can manually start it from the program disk by
double-clicking on Setup.
Mac OS X: On the Live 7 program disk, you will nd a folder named Live 7 Mac
OS X. Drag the Live 7 Mac OS X to the Applications folder on your computer's
hard disk.
2. Windows: After installation is complete, you can launch Live by selecting it from
the Start menu.
Mac OS X: To launch Live, locate and open the Live 7 application folder and
double-click the Live icon.
3. The rst time you launch Live, you will be presented with a dialog window
containing a eld for entering your Live 7 serial number. Please enter the Live 7
serial number found on the DVD pack (or sent to you via e-mail). You will then
be provided with instructions for unlocking Live.
4. There are two additional content folders on the program DVD that contain Live
Packs:
Live 7 Packs contains additional demo songs, Impulse presets and loops.
This content that can be used with any version of Live 7.
Add-On Instrument Packs contains presets for Analog, Electric, Tension,
Operator, Sampler and Drum Machines. Please note that using this con-
tent requires either an Ableton Suite license or licenses for the particular
instruments for which you are installing content.
To install this content, drag the appropriate Live Packs from the DVD to Live's
application window.
