COMES is a leading manufacturer of equipments and spare parts for chemical,
petrochemical, gas & oil and nuclear industries. Our mission is to answer our
customers requirements and expectations by promptly offering qualitative products
and services, without harming the environment, health and safety.

Founded in 1977, as Mechanical Plant of the
Chemical Complex of Synthetic Fibres and Yarns
Savinesti (UMCFFS), COMES was created as
a supplier of equipments and spare parts for
Savinesti Chemical Platform.
SC COMES SA is one of the leading Romanian
manufacturers of pressure vessels and
equipments. With over 35 years of tradition, we
apply especially for petrochemical, gas&oil and
nuclear industries.

Following the positive evolution after the buy-out
and modernization investments, COMES became
one of the main Romanian suppliers for heat
exchangers, pressure vessels (tanks,
reactors, boilers, etc.), fin tubes heat exchangers,
columns, hot water/steam boilers for
chemical, petrochemical and nuclear industry.
SC COMES SA Savinesti is part of the industrial
Group of Companies CONEX IASI, one of the most
dynamic industrial groups in Romania.
The products specific to our company are: heat
exchangers, tube bundles, air coolers with fin
tubes, columns with internals equipments (trays),
industrial boilers with steam/hot water,
reactors, condensers, vessel, tanks, Skids,
complex metallic structures, pump bodies.
The vessels are made of carbon steel, stainless
steel, duplex, superduplex, clad steel (stainless,
monel), Cu-Ni alloy.

History
COMES S.A. Savinesti Neamt was founded the name of Mechanical Plant of the Chemi-
1977 cal Complex of Synthetic Fibres and Yarns Savinesti.
COMES S.A. was registered, under the 1213/20.11.1990 government law, as a joint stock
1991 company and changed its name in COMES Savinesti (Mechanical Company for Special
Equipments).
The year when COMES S.A. Savinesti becomes part of CONEX Group of Companies,
2003 one of the most important industrial groups in Romania. Comes S.A. receives Quality
Management System autorization from CNCAN, for activities in nuclear industry.
Comes S.A. earns Quality Management System Certification acc. to EN ISO 9001:2000,
2004 by TV Thuringen. Comes S.A. obtains Certification according to 97/23 EC Norm, by
ISCIR CERT for designing and manufacturing of underpressure equipments.
A period when Comes S.A. begins to manufacture complex technological equipments
2004-2005 for Unit no. 2 for the Nuclear Plant Cernavoda (columns, tanks, heat exchangers,
vessels).
Comes S.A. earns certification according to AD 2000-Merkblatt HP 0, TDR 201, AD
2005 2000-Merkblatt HP 100R und DIN EN 729-2, 97/23 EC Norm by TV Sud Gruppe for
pressure vessels manufacturing.
Comes S.A. receives Certification of Environmental and Occupational Health and Safety
2006 System according to EN 14001:2005 and OHSAS 18001:2004 by SRAC and IQNet.

2009 U stamp authorization by Hartford Steam Boiler Inspection.

The investment program (worth over 3 million Euro) on constructing the second Boiler
2015 Shop has been developed and completed.

Tube Bundles

The often replaced parts of a heat exchanger

are the tube bundles. Depending on the
constructive type of the heat exchanger, tube

Air Coolers with Fin Tubes

They are heat exchangers used in chemical and
petrochemical industries, in heat transfer
processes with technological function of
condenser or vaporizer. The coolers are made of
tube bundles, arranged in bays, with two or more
fans, mounted on a steel structure.

The fin tubes which ensure the heat transfer can

be manufactured by extruded or embedded fins,
from:

Carbon steel and aluminium fins;

Copper and carbon steel fins;
Stainless steel with aluminium fins, etc.

Separators

COMES manufactures gas separators for

separating the methane from the water, and
also two-phasic/ three-phasic separators for
separating the oil from the water and the gas.

This are horizontal or vertical tanks especially

designed to be used in the gas & oil industry.

Gas separators are mechanical devices

designed to remove and collect the solid and
liquid impurities existing in the gas flow and to
protect pipes, equipment and devices that may
be damaged because of contaminated gas.

In the case of gas separators (two-phasic),

separating is made by means of demister.

In the case of gas-oil-water separators (three-

phasic), separating is made by means of
chicanes, demister or coalescer.

Columns are chemical equipments used in
fractionation, distillation, adsorption operation, etc,
during technological process. Depending on the way
the phase contacts are made, columns are classified
