Description of how to implement in the class: Students will be in a large group
classroom setting throughout the instruction. The teacher will use an interactive
white board to present the information. Students will engage by actively listening to
the book on careers I have formulated into a visual and auditory aid. Students will
answer the prompted questions on the given slides in a whisper tone to maintain
classroom noise level. This activity serves as an informal assessment for the teacher
to gain a general understanding of where each student stands academically in the
class. After the instruction is over, the teacher will post the presentation to the
classroom websites so students can go back and review the presentation after class
is over. Because these students are at a kindergarten grade level, students will need
parental assistance. Once posted, students will have complete access to the video
anytime, anywhere for review and practice opportunities. Pictures on the
presentation will be developmental and age appropriate to grab student attention
and engagement. This is done to make the content more relatable to my students.
Level of Technology Implementation (LoTi):
This technology tool is at a LoTi level 2 because this presentation is using technology
as a tool to support student learning of the given Kindergarten standard. Because I
was the person who created the content on the presentation slides, I the teacher, was
able to analyze the effectiveness of this tool before implementing it in the classroom.
Description of the sample spreadsheet and graph/chart provided *:
The audience (the class of students) will watch the presentation of Who are They?
with pictures of objects/ activities along with sound effects. Every other slide will
question the viewer which career he or she sees on each slide. On the other
remaining slides, the answers will be revealed. Teacher will pause the slideshow to
allow students to answer. As the students watch, they will hear my voice prompting
the discussion and questionnaire in the presentation.
Other comments about your proposed spreadsheet/graph/chart activity: I
learned about this technology tool from my professor Sherri Booker.
