CONCERT FOR THE YOUTH

The countrys leading orchestra performs timeless classical music for young
audiences (ages 8 to 16) in its aim to educate young people about classical music
appreciation in a fun and entertaining way. The takes a look at some of the most
recognizable music that has been made popular by film and television, and puts a
historical spin on it to teach young audiences about the origin and to give a new
perspective to some of those timeless classics.

THE WONG KIDS

IN THE SECRET OF THE SPACE CHUPACABRA GO!

Using a mix of action-driven storytelling, puppetry, and visual magic, The Wong
Kids transports its audience into the far reaches of the galaxy. Violet and Bruce
Wong just dont fit in with the other Earth kids. Sure, they have superpowers;
they're just not very good ones. But when an evil beast called the Space
Chupacabra appears, intent on universal destruction, The Wong Kids must travel to
outer space in order to stop it... if they can only stop bickering. Violet and Bruce
ultimately realize that being different isnt just okay, it might just be the most
important thing ever. The Wong Kids is presented by the CCP and Ma-Yi Theater
Company in association with Tanghalang Pilipino and Philippine Airlines, the official
carrier of the Ma-Yi Theater Company.

HALLOWEEN FAMILY CONCERT

The Halloween Family Concert is the PPOs treat for children and the whole family.
This concert will bring to families a unique Halloween experience, as it also features
a musical instrument petting zoo, wherein children will be given a chance to touch
and even try different musical instruments. Colorful themes and narration makes
the concert experience more entertaining for the whole family. The kids may not be
able to completely enjoy concerts by the PPO, but at this time, they are the main
focus of this event. The purpose of the concert is to introduce the symphony
orchestra and its music to kids in an enjoyable way. To completely experience
Halloween, the kids are encouraged to come in their costumes.
