Sac State was founded in 1947.

The school colors are green and gold.

There is an university arboretum.

The School of Nursing graduates 200-250 nurses each year.
o The school averages about a 95% NCLEX passage rate.
Sac State is home to the countrys second largest Criminal Justice program.

The construction management program has had 100% job placement since 2011.
