To Whom It May Concern,
1 gladly write this letter to recommend Mikayla Canales, as she is fit for any endeavor she pursues.
Miss Canales is a responsible, hard working, creative, and a critical thinking student who contributes to
her community while leading by example.
Throughout high school, Mikayla demonstrated a superb work ethic while tackling rigorous
coursework. Miss Canales achieved a 4.16 overall GPA and ranked 4" in her class of 91 students. She
met the A-G requirements and chose California State University, Sacramento as her college of choice.
Mikayla is self-motivated on excelling at whatever she attempts but is also creative at solving problems
and completing tasks efficiently.
T have witnessed countless examples of Mikayla’s leadership skills as her teacher in Buckingham’s
Leadership class. Mikayla served as ASB Treasurer, a position in which she assured all student
organizations are properly handling money. As a member of the Outreach Committee, Mikayla reached
‘out to her fellow students and community to create a fun and safe environment for all. Miss Canales
participated in Student Council with enthusiasm that is contagious and I considered her one of my “go
to” students because of her ability to make on any job and get it done and with a smile on her face. She
‘was not only a positive member of Student Council; she also is very involved in her community. A few
of the many things she has done include coordinating various outreach projects through the school’s S-
Club, fostering and volunteering through Senior Spaniels Rescue Inc., and giving free tutoring to
students. Through Miss Canales’ multiple contributions to her high school and community, she has
shown everyone around her the caring heart she has.
Mikayla deserves to be granted all opportunities she pursues, as she is a responsible and deserving
young woman who has proved extremely helpful in both an individual and team setting. I know she is
using her time wisely at CSU, Sacramento, where she is working towards a career in teaching. This
future career greatly suits Miss Canales, and I know she will use her education to further help her
community.
Sincerely,
