Description of the artifact and how it meets the standard and criteria:

This is the relationship building action plan that I created. I am working hard to
develop a better relationship with one of my most challenging students. This plan will
help me to purposefully build a relationship with this student. I will use the two by ten
relationship building activity and spend two minutes a day for ten consecutive days
getting to know this student. This artifact meets 6A because it helps promote social
interaction between myself and my students. Also, by building a good relationship with
my students, I am increasing their engagement in the classroom because they will want
to listen to someone they trust.

Reflection on the artifact:

I have noticed a definite improvement in my classroom as a result of my

relationship building plan. I have created a better bond with my most challenging
student by taking the time to ask him about his life. I learned a lot about his personal
life and family. This helped me to be more empathetic and find ways to connect with my
students. This student has been more talkative towards me and wants to continue to
share his life with me. It hasnt stopped his negative behaviors, but it is a work in
progress.
