DAY Learning objectives: By the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to:

a. chant with actions.


b. articulate the phonemes /s/ and / / correctly.

DATE
CCE/EE: Multiple intelligence, creativity and innovation.
Activities :
a. Introduction:
1. Get the pupils to look at the picture. (TB page 18)
Subject 2. Encourage pupils to talk about the picture with guidance.
English
b. Presentation:
1. Display the chant on the board.
2. Introduce the chant to the pupils.
3. Recite the chant. Pupils listen and repeat.
Class 4. Guide the pupils to articulate the phonemes /s/ and / / correctly.
Year 1 5. Use Total Physical Response (TPR) actions: snap their fingers, clap their hands,
stamp their feet when saying the letters highlighted in red.
6. Practise a few times with the pupils.
c. Practise:
1. Divide pupils into groups.

2. Guide each group to come out with their own action/actions.
3. Guide them to practise chanting with actions.
(60 minutes) d. Production:
1. Pupils perform in their groups.
2. Asses the pupils performance.
3. The group with the best performance is the winner.
