The engine indicating system is part of the engine fuel and control system (Ref. AMM D/O 73-00-00-00) .
2. System Description
A. Fuel Filter Differential Pressure (DP) Transducer
The main function of the fuel filter DP Transducer is to sense the pressure across the fuel filter element and
give this information to both the EECs.
The fuel filter delta pressure sensor is installed on the fuel filter housing.
B. Fuel Metering Unit (FMU) Differential Pressure (DP) Transducer
The main function of the FMU DP transducer is to sense the pressure drop across the fuel strainer of the
FMU and give this information to both the EECs.
The FMU DP transducer is installed on the FMU (Fuel Metering Unit).

(1) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Make sure that the ENG/MODE selector switch is in the NORM position.
(b) Make sure that the ENG/MASTER 1(2) control switch was in the OFF position not less than five
minutes before you do this procedure.
(c) Put WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to operate:
The ENG/MODE selector switch, and
The ENG/MASTER 1(2) control switch.
(2) On the ENG section of maintenance panel 50VU:
(a) Make sure that the ON legend of the FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
(b) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to energize FADEC 1(2).

Subtask 73-34-05-020-050-A
A. Removal of the Fuel Filter Differential Pressure Sensor
(1) Put a CONTAINER 5 L (1.32 USGAL) below all the tube openings and the fuel filter differential
pressure sensor (1).
(2) Disconnection of the electrical connectors.
CAUTION: MAKE SURE THAT THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS ARE CLEAN BEFORE YOU
DISCONNECT OR CONNECT THEM. CONTAMINATION ON THE ELECTRICAL
CONNECTORS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(a) Disconnect the HJ6A harness electrical connector (3) from the fuel filter differential pressure
sensor (1).
(3) Remove the two bolts (4) from the fuel filter differential pressure sensor (1).
(4) Remove the fuel filter differential pressure sensor (1) from the main fuel filter housing (2).
(5) Remove and discard the O-ring (5) from the groove of the fuel filter differential pressure sensor (1).
(6) Install COVER - PROTECTION and CAP - PROTECTION on all the open ports, open tubes, open
hoses and the connectors.

Subtask 73-34-05-420-050-A
A. Installation of the Fuel Filter Differential Pressure Sensor
(1) Remove all COVER - PROTECTION and CAP - PROTECTION from the openings, tubes, hoses and
connectors.
(2) Make sure that the mating surfaces are clean and clear of unwanted materials.
(3) Lubricate the bolts and O-ring:
WARNING: USE PERSONAL PROTECTION EQUIPMENT. USE THE ENGINE OIL IN A WELL-
VENTILATED AREA. ENGINE OIL IS TOXIC.
(a) Lubricate the threads of the two bolts (4) and the new PIPC -CSN (73-34-05-01-000) O-ring (5)
with the engine oil (Material No. CP2442).
(4) Install the new O-ring (5) in the groove of the fuel filter differential pressure sensor (1).
(5) Install the fuel filter differential pressure sensor (1) on the main fuel filter housing (2).
(6) Install the two bolts (4) to attach the fuel filter differential pressure sensor (1) on the main fuel filter
housing (2) and tighten them with your hand.
(7) TORQUE the two bolts (4) to between 112.1 and 123.9 lbf.in (1.27 and 1.40 m.daN).
(8) Connection of the electrical connectors.
CAUTION: MAKE SURE THAT THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS ARE CLEAN BEFORE YOU
DISCONNECT OR CONNECT THEM. CONTAMINATION ON THE ELECTRICAL
CONNECTORS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(a) Connect the HJ6A harness electrical connector (3) to the fuel filter differential pressure sensor
(1).
