I was very happy to receive your letter and I found it very interesting.

The programme you described about dolphins sounds fascinating and they are
such beautiful creatures. I would have liked to have seen it.

I recently saw a wonderful programme about butterflies that travel a long way to collect in
Mexico. It was really incredible how they flew so far.

I don't watch much TV because I have to study for my exams, but when I get the chance,
I like watching nature programmes. Do you watch much TV?

grandmother, my older brother and me. I think that is a big
family in Vietnam because there are three generations.

A few weeks ago my family went to Coto island, which is a
famous tourist destination near my home town. We spent
three days there and we had a lot of fun.

A: The three images show places that would be suitable as holiday destinations. The first image
is of the mountains, which I think would be very interesting to visit. I have always wanted to
spend some time in the mountains. What do you think...

B: ...I agree with you about the mountains, but walking in the mountains is a lot of hard work.
The image of the beach is much more interesting. It would be even better if we could visit the
lighthouse, which would be a lot of fun. I have always wanted to visit a lighthouse because I think
it would be very interesting. Don't you agree...

A: ...You could be right, but I get bored sitting on the beach all day. The image of the big city is
much more interesting. All hard even with agree would more bored you week choose mean most
as that excitement, the top restaurants and the night clubs is my idea of a holiday. I could
happily spend a week or two visiting all the famous places and sightseeing. If I had to choose, I
would choose the city, How about you?.

B: ...Yes, I can see what you mean, and I think I agree with you. It is very difficult to choose which
my favourite would be because they are all interesting places, but either the city or the beach
would be the most fun. I think I would also choose the city for the same reasons as you.

This image shows a group of people being served by a chef. They are sitting in a restaurant
which looks expensive because the decor is of good quality and the chef is wearing an exclusive
uniform.

The weather is very sunny and warm because the people are wearing light clothes and have
taken off their jackets. Even the chef is in short sleeves. It is quite normal for people in hot
weather to prefer to eat inside, out of the direct sunlight, because it is cooler

It seems to be lunch time because it is sunny outside, and judging by the number of people
eating, the restaurant seems very popular. The chef appears to be oriental, so it could be in the
far east although the clients all seem to be westerners.

If I had the chance, I would love to sit at this table and have my lunch because I love going to
nice restaurants.

A: I think doing things alone is OK, but the real fun comes when you are in a group. For example,

B: Yes, I think you have a very good point. OK, so we agree. Most things are better in groups, but
there are one or two things that are more fun alone. Is that right?...

A:Yes, that's right, although sometimes it is more fun sharing than playing alone. You can laugh
