It is good to go to medical school! This is what we find out from a

study carried out in 2014, showing the 10 best paying jobs in the
USA. Becoming a surgeon is the best paying career that you can
follow in the United States. They make on average $233,150 a
year. Next in line are General Practice doctors, who earn yearly
salaries of about $187,200. Psychiatrists are also earning a lot of
money: on average their annual salary is $178,950. Orthodontists
and dentists follow them with salaries ranging from $140,000 to
$150,000 a year. Petroleum industry engineers also earn good
money: $130,280 a year. Another high-risk job made its way into
the top 10: air traffic controllers can earn around $122,530. Even
though they are at the bottom of this list, lawyers still can't
complain about their yearly income. They earn on average
$113,530 every year. Other well-paid categories are scientists,
directors and engineers. The top 10 includes only jobs that require
University training, so artists, sports stars and CEOs are not
included. If there is one thing to be learned from this is that it
pays to become a doctor: you can earn a lot of money and live with
the satisfaction that you get to save lives on a daily basis.
