***February 10th-that's the date for the next Windsor Forest Neighborhoods' Association general meeting! Same
time--6:30 PM; same place--Windsor Hall on Briarcliff Drive. We are delighted to announce that the new director
for Crimestoppers, Gianna Nelson, will be the featured speaker. Also, before and after the meeting, there will be
a table set up for the public to provide any feedback regarding the City's plans for expanded bicycle paths in
Windsor Forest. It will be a very informative evening, so make your plans now to attend!

***We are thrilled to announce that we have a new Delta Watch Officer, Brian Smith. Brian's schedule will
basically be Monday through Friday, 11:00 AM through 7:00 PM. Do not hesitate to contact Brian with any non-
emergency info through his email address:
bsmith02@savannahga.gov
Members of the Windsor Forest volunteer board were able to officially meet Brian recently and are already
impressed with his enthusiasm and goal-oriented attitude. Officer Smith has been with SCMPD for over a year,
holds a degree from Georgia Southern University, grew up "a military brat", was a Marine and is an officer with
the reserves. He is already getting familiar with Windsor Forest and making contacts with residents as he rides
through the neighborhooda practice he very much wants to continue. Officer Smith is very community
minded, so do not hesitate to speak to him about your concerns! If his schedule permits, he will be attending
the February 10th association meeting (heads uphe's older than he looks!!)

***Tribble Parkkeep your fingers crossed that the new pavilion will be completed this month!! The structure
has been delivered to the City; as soon as the foundation work is done, installation is next. This will be a terrific
addition to the park.

***Don't forget about the upcoming CITIZEN'S POLICE ACADEMYSavannah-Chatham Metro Police will begin
the next 13-week program starting February 13th (application deadline is Friday, February 7, 2014 with a $10
check or money order). The academy is designed to allow residents to interact with members of the police
department and the local justice system. The agenda is jam-packed, so if you are interested, contact Gianna
Nelson at 651-2246 or access the Internet at www.scmpd.org for details.

***City of Savannah Sanitation Department has sent out notices regarding "bulk pickup "changes. They will still
provide this free monthly service but one must request it in advance. Just remember, if you have items like
furniture or old appliances, just call 311 by the Friday before the bulk item collection week to get it scheduled.
Windsor Forest has bulk pick up the FIRST Saturday through the next Friday of every month. Obviously, this
small change will be both cost and time saving! By the way, please NO PLASTIC BAGS IN THE YELLOW AND
BLACK RECYCLING BINS. Do's and Don'ts are easily cited on both the lid of the recycling can and the magnetic
calendar we all receive.

***Don't forget the following NON-EMERGENCY Police numbers: (1) Police number: 912-652-6500, Press 1 for a
person (2) Daytime Fourth Precinct number: 912-351-3400 (3) CRIMESTOPPERS 912-234-2020

***Please remember that, although the Windsor Forest Neighborhood Watch program is open and free to all
residents of the community, it is only through the volunteer work of association members that the program is
organized and run. The larger the membership, the more influence we have as we work with City and Police
officials for the greater good of the subdivisions. Please join the WFNA!!
