born in Magdalena, Colombia. Son of Gabriel Eligio Marquez and Luisa Santiaga Marquez, is the
eldest of eleven brothers, He studied law at the National University of Colombia. He is now 78
years old. His friends call him Gabo. He`s married to Mercedes Barcha and they have two children.

The father of Gabriel Garca Mrquez was born in 1901, he finished his high school with great
