Associated Learning Standard(s): This resource makes a fantastic check on learning as well as a
break between lessons. It also naturally aligns with certain ISTE standards such as technology
operation and standards.

RESOURCE DESCRIPTION
Kahoot is an online platform that allows educators to create resources such as quizzes, discussions or
surveys. A main page is pulled up on a projector or smartboard and the students then use either their
cell phones or Chromebooks to answer questions or give feedback either anonymously or as a score
based avatar.

INTEGRATION IDEA - COLLABORATION

I would use Kahoot as a check on learning piece to ensure that my class was ready to move on to the
next portion of my lecture. It is a quick activity that I can set up in a minute or so and I can easily
incentivize students to pay attention by giving out either prizes or extra credit for top scores.

VALUE-ADDED EXPLANATION
I would give Kahoot a 2 on the value-added scale.
My reasoning is that Kahoot would align with my content standards and would enhance the
lesson, but not really transform it. It would also be used exclusively by students other than my
setting it up.
