Archie Scarf

I used a bulky yarn - Lion Brand Hometown USA yarn and an M or N hook. For thinner
yarns, like Redheart, Id use I or J.

CHAIN 19 (can be more chs for wider scarf a multiple of 2 +1 works).

Always work in the back loops ONLY even when you get to the ch 1 spaces as you
start the pattern over with the 5th row.

ROW 1: DC in the 4th ch from the hook . (Ch 3s count as 1st DC throughout.) Then DC
to the end of row, ch 3 and turn.

ROW 2: The ch 3 counts as 1st st, DC in the next st and each st to the end of row
(including top of ch 3), ch 3 and turn.

ROW 3: Repeat Row 2.

ROW 4: With ch 3 still counting as 1st st DC in next st, ch 1, skip DC, DC in next st.
[ch 1, DC in next st] across the row. End with ch 1, DC in next st, DC in top of ch 3, ch
3 and turn.

Repeat these 4 rows for the pattern You will have three rows of double crochets,
followed by one row of double crochets and ch 1 spaces. Scarf can be any length youd
like and you can add a single crochet border around the whole thing if using a regular
weight yarn. (I didnt like the way it looked with the bulky yarn.) Work SC, ch 1, SC
for corners. OR 3 sc in the corner stitches.
