The first snow sown into the fabric of the earth

struggles to bloom as from the assemblage

and blending of micro-uniquities homogeneity
arises and melts into stains.

This swirling white desert,

a dessert cleansing the palate,
returns to periodicity
regularity.

You can pull the drowning from water,

but you can only lengthen their tether to blue.
You can throw a life buoy, cast a line,
but some fish dont want to be saved.

Hear the howl.

Feel the crunch.
Shiver
the flesh.

A gauntlet thrown misses its hand.

A secret spoken misses its silence.
As a flower wilts, its regrets ooze,
evaporating into nothing.

But a flower
frozen
shatters
regrets intact.
