Position: Manufacturing Engineer / Project Responsible Body-


in-White

Working at Manufacturing Engineering of Fiat Chrysler Latin America


with cross-functional teams throughout the entire lifecycle of the
product. Works closely with Body/Product Engineering and Production in
order to take the assemblies from initial design through development
and into full production.

In charge of:
- Technical specification for automated manufacturing equipment;
- Definition of manufacturing methods - assembly sequence, welding
sequence, adhesive application,;
- Development of new manufacturing process, layouts of production
workstations concerning to produce flow, efficiency, logistics and
ergonomics;
- Performance of process analysis as PFMEA among others from Lean
Manufacturing / World Class Manufacturing (WCM) and World Class
Technology (WCT);
- Design of manufacturing equipment (fixtures and others) for medium
and mass production;
- Support the development of product (body) and analysis of
manufacture technical feasibility together with the product engineering
team;
- Support the team leader in development of new projects;
- Management of national and international suppliers, during the
specification, outsourcing process, technical line up, design,
construction, buyoff, installation, tryout and start-up phases of new
production lines according to Fiat Chrysler standards and the rules in
force in the country (NBRs, NRs in Brazil);
- Benchmark in different plants: Jeep plant in Brazil which is the most
autonomous plant in the FCA group, Betim FCA Plant (Brazil) which has
an annual capacity production of 950k cars of 16 models the second
biggest car plant in the world and the biggest of the group) and
Mirafioris FCA plant in Italy.

Responsible by 3580 (aka X6H) body sides manufacturing project.

Achievements:

Lead the implementation of a whole project of 82 millions of Brazilian


reais (~500 millions of Mexican pesos) since initial drawings to the
pre series phase within time and budget with more than 150 people
direct involved;

Reduction of initial cost in 8,3 millions Brazilian Reais (52 millions of


Mexican pesos) using lean manufacturing;

Reduction of running cost in 0,9 million/year Brazilian Reais (5,6


millions of Mexican pesos) using lean manufacturing;

Co-leader of Early Equipment Management (World Class


Manufacturing/Tecnology Lean manufacturing program of FCA)

Responsible by: Supplier team (Engineering, Project Management,


Manufacturing, installation, tryouts and pre-series more than 150

- Support to the Quality department during the data-book elaboration
certifying that it was done according to the codes required by the client.
