Herpes Zoster

Airborne isolation
Blister stage is infectious. Before blister forms and after crusting non-infectious
Avoid touching or scratching the rash. Wash hands frequently.
Less infectious than chicken pox
Less infectious if the rash is covered,
Avoid contact with pregnant who had no chicken pox before, Low birth weight
babies , immune suppressed ( chemotherapy, organ transplant recipients HIV)
