Design the floor system supported on four posts;

measures 3.2m x 2m from centre to centre of
posts. It carries a live load of 2 KPa. The flooring
planks have dimensions of 800mm x 400mm in
nominal section. Assume the flooring planks and
joists to be simply supported. The lumber that will
be used is Nara with 80% stress grade. The
corresponding allowable bending stress indicated 2.0 m
in the table 6.1 of NSCP 2010 is subject for
adjustment. If the adjusted allowable shear stress
is equal to 0.82 Mpa and the allowable deflection
is L/240.

design of timber beam, girder and planks.
