MOORE FROM OTTAWA
By Fundy Royal M.P. Rob Moore
DRIVER EDUCATION We are blessed to live in a country with such
natural beauty, and even more blessed to live in
COURSE Fundy Royal, which attracts many people who
want to see our beautiful province. I want to

REGISTER NOW! encourage everyone, whether you have lived in

Fundy Royal your entire life or whether you are
just passing through on a summer vacation, to

July 19, 20, 21 & 22 take in as much of our region as you can this
summer.
We have so many things to see and do in our own backyard. Of
course, there is the Bay of Fundy. With its world-famous tidal
All Seasons Inn changes, it is definitely something that is worth adding to the
summer calendar. The tides have carved out caves in the sandstone,
9:00am - 4:00pm which is an attraction to so many, and something that we can all
enjoy exploring. You can also stop by and see the Hopewell Rocks
each day when the tide is low in the Bay. These rocks have been eroded into
many strange and unique shapes by the tides, and are referred to
most commonly as the “flowerpot rocks.” However, there are many

other shapes to see among the rocks: one looks like a bear, one is
often confused for a castle, and one rock even looks like a dinosaur. I
welcome you to stop by during low-tide and see what shapes you
can make out in the formations.
If you are looking for a way to spend a day on the sea, than make

marine ecosystems in the world with a local sea kayak experience.

Fax: 433-8153 You will have an opportunity to explore the coastline, see fishing
villages, and visit secluded islands. You will also be able to see the
many historic lighthouses that dot the coastline. Along the way, you
will become acquainted with marine life such as Minke whales, and
will also be able to watch a wide variety of seabirds.
Of course, you don’t have to spend all day at the Bay of Fundy,
147 Route 890 since there are so many other things to do. If you think that tides are
too slow for you, and you prefer something a little faster, then make
(½ mile past 4 Corners Irving) sure you stop by the Maritime Motor Sports Hall of Fame in
Petitcodiac. It is open year round, and is so well-known that it

Motorists who ensure their tires are properly inflated can expect to

Remember to only measure pressure when the tires are cold. If you
have been driving, wait three hours before measuring tire pressure; Use
a reliable tire gauge when measuring pressure. A visual inspection is not
an effective way of measuring tire pressure. Remove the cap from the
valve stem, press the tire gauge onto the valve and take the pressure

overfill the tire, release air by pushing on the metal stem in the centre of
the valve, then re-measure the pressure; The DesRosiers study
interviewed 1,811 drivers in the fall of 2009. The results are considered
accurate within ± 2.5 percent, 19 times out of 20.
