Mu Pi Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Incorporated is proud to announce that we

will award an academic scholarship to a deserving 2017 high school graduate this year.
Over the past years, Mu Pi Chapter has awarded over $160,000.00 in scholarships to
deserving graduates of the School District of Greenville County.

Please assist us in this endeavor by making your deserving students aware of this
scholarship opportunity. A copy of the scholarship guidelines and application are
enclosed. Please make as many copies as you wish in order to meet your needs. Also,

SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION PROCESS GUIDELINES

Award Amount
The amount of the scholarship will be SIX HUNDRED AND TWENTY-FIVE
DOLLARS ($625.00) per semester per academic year. It is renewable each year for an
additional one year period not to exceed a period of four years (eight semesters) or a total
of FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS ($5,000.00)

SCHOLARSHIP ELIGIBILITY
Any student who meets the following criteria is eligible to receive the scholarship:

The student is a graduating senior.

The student has proof of acceptance and enrollment in a college, university,

or technical school.

The student demonstrates an economic need and is not already receiving

aid which fully pays the cost of attending school.

The student has maintained a minimum C average in his/her curriculum.

CONTINUING SCHOLARSHIP ELIGIBILITY

In order to continue receiving scholarship funds, a scholarship recipient must submit the
Following at the end of each school term (semester or quarter)

Proof of continued enrollment at a college, university, or technical school.

A copy of the latest transcript from the registrars office, which includes the last term
Grades and indicates a minimum C average.

DISTRIBUTION OF FUNDS

Scholarship funds will be paid directly to the scholarship recipient after proof of
continued enrollment and eligibility at a college, university, or technical school.

Scholarship Information

Application Deadline

The completed application form and all supporting information must be postmarked for
receipt by the Mu Pi Scholarship Committee on or before April 30, 2017.

Scholarship Limitations

Dependents of members of Mu Pi Chapter and/or Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. are not
eligible.

All funds are awarded and/or renewed under the sole discretion of Mu Pi Chapter.

One time grants of varying amounts may be awarded to qualifying applicants at the
discretion of the Mu Pi Scholarship Committee.
