Extreme Keys a cappella concert

Come to a potluck supper and concert by Bryn Mawr's Extreme Keys on Saturday,
March 4 from 5-8 at the home of Barbara Powell (10 minute walk from Harvard Square
T)! The Extreme Keys, who came together in 1981 to sing and have a good time,
(though not necessarily in that order,) is the oldest female a cappella group in the
Haverford/Bryn Mawr consortium. Noted for their electric energy and killer concerts,
they perform a range of music from 70s disco to 21st century indie-pop.

Lizard Making Party

The Lizard Party was on Sunday, January 22 at my home in Medford. In attendance
were Cornelia Robart 61, Jane Lifton 76, Kathleen Milligan 78, Margaret Hoag 86,
Brenda Breed 87, Elizabeth Foster 11, and Charlotte Maskin 12. We ate delicious
brunch snacks including turkey meatballs, quiche, and brownies while we created
Lizards for 34 First Years from Massachusetts (including my daughter, Sophia) to
commemorate the end of the Welcome to First Years (WTF) event. Although it has
changed a lot from the Hell Weeks that most of us remember, Sophia reported that it is
still a great community building experience.

Have a Wednesday, Friday, Saturday or Sunday Afternoon or Evening Free to
Volunteer (just one, not all)?

The Book Store is on track to meet its goal for donations to the College in 2016 -- 85%
there in the first seven months. Business is good and we'd like to make it better in order
to give more support to current students. We are hunting for a pair of volunteers (you
and a classmate/friend?) who might have a block of time free to sell books. An evening
during the work-week (except Thursday) or a Sunday afternoon would be perfect -- the
Operating Committee will train and support you to help us add an additional shift. When
there's no business, you can putter around the store, read and talk. If this sounds like
an idea to pursue, please email gail.rogers76@gmail.com to raise your hand.

Dues Reminder
Benefits include free or discounted admission to most Club events!
Please pay your dues, if you havent already! You may mail in a check or pay online.
The membership year is July 1st - June 30th. Payment of annual dues ($20) provides
one years membership unless you are or become a Life Member ($250). Dues can be
PAID by a check made payable to Bryn Mawr Club of Boston and mailed to: Treasurer,
PO Box 344, Concord, MA 01742, or you can PAY online; the latter is slightly more
expensive.
If you are up to 3 years out, please just EMAIL us No dues necessary but please
include your YOG in the subject line or email.
Any additional gift to the Club is gratefully appreciated and tax deductible.

If you are interested in volunteering on the Board, or at the Bryn Mawr Bookstore in
