A Relaxing Getaway

Intro
Have you ever had a bad time at the beach, I doubt it. The beach is a
very relaxing place. There are lots of things to love about the beach. The warm
cozy sun, the soothing relaxing sea breeze, and the symphony of natures
delightful sounds makes this free paradise the perfect getaway.

The first thing that comes to my mind when I hear the word beach is that
warm cozy sun. it was 7:00a.m; I was very excited. First, I stopped at
McDonalds to have some breakfast; it was delicious. Second, I stopped at
Walgreens to buy everything I needed to enjoy my day at the beach like its
supposed to. While I was in the supermarket I bought some sun lotion, grabbed
some drinks, filled the bucket with ice and hopped right into my car. In the blink
of an eye I was on my way to the beach. Since I was early, the beach was
clean, peaceful, and I had a lot of spots to choose from. Obviously I was going
to choose the one with the best view of the whole beach and with the most
palm trees so the sun wouldnt be a problem for the rest of the day.

I parked my car, unloaded my things, and went to find a nice place to set
up while my friends arrived. Luckily I found a nice shaded place with a few
palm trees to hang my hamacas. Some palm trees had coconuts but that
wasnt a problem since my friend Giovanni likes to climb trees. He would climb
that tree like a monkey, grab the coconut and then make some delicious pia
coladasEverything was set. I unpacked my hamaca and tied it between two
palm trees to rest in it while my friends arrived. Suddenly the wind blew strong
and swayed my hamaca back and forth and a strong smell came deeply can
you smell that? I know I can. Its the smell of the salty sea breeze. Ahh, the
delightful aroma is just better than any stress-relieving therapy out there.
Combine that with some ice cold pia coladas and this comfortable hamaca
and trust me I wouldnt want to go anywhere else. Giovanni better be on its
way! I closed my eyes while enjoying the therapy. I was more than relaxed at
that moment when suddenly the world started to go black while I closed my
eyesand thats the last thing I remember.

There I was, immersed in a deep, fully relaxed sleep. I was dreaming that I was
walking on the beach with two spicy seoritas on a beautiful evening while
drinking a delicious pia colada. It was like a dream come true until.*toock* a
brown rounded piece of reality hit me in the head. I woke up desperate and
mad and fell to the floor. The words coming out of my mouth werent so happy
either. I searched my inner peace and finally gained the strength to stand up
and sat on a rock beside me while caressing my head. It was 9:15am according
to my watch. 3 minutes later my friends Giovanni, Alessandra, Dannyela and
Luis arrive. I guided them to the spot, helped them place all the seats &
umbrellas, poured ice in the bucket, and prepared the BBQ. The weather looked
clean and perfect. Im sure were going to have lots of fun
After eating that juicy burger and that cold pia colada I decided to take a walk.
I grabbed my sunglasses, put on my beach hat and applied some sun lotion.
Dannyela decided to join me on my walk on the beach. During our walk we
encountered so many beautiful things; we saw a Manati, a Tinglar, some
cocolias and jueyes. There were some Iguanas and even a Guacamayo in a
dominicans shoulder. We found what looked like a narrow road behind the
trees but it didnt say where it led to. I was so curious but Dannyela wasnt
thinking the same way as me. Finally, I convinced her to come with me and see
where this road led to. We entered and walked, and walked, and the road
started to get steeper and even more narrow but our curiosity was so big that
we continuedfinally we reached the top end of the road. We couldnt believe
what our eyes were seeing. We were on the very top of a rocky mountain with a
panoramic view of the whole beach. The people on the beach looked like ants
from this far. We didnt wait a second to start taking photos and selfies. We
were so tired of that long walk that we decided to take a brief rest and sat
down contemplating the dreamlike panorama of nature itself. Up there we
could hear nature like never before. The wind caressing us, the trees dancing
by the rhythm of it, the birds singing in a chorus-like way, the mighty waves
dashing through the breakwaters making a loud noise like if two trucks were
crashing each other. All the things happening up here were just amazing. Our
friends wont believe this when wed get back.

Conclusion
We were having such a great time up here that we didnt want to go back.
Unfortunately, it was getting late so we had no choice other than go back to
our friends back at the other side of the beach. They must have forgotten
about us since weve been up there for hours. It was a long walk back. Luckily,
our friends were still there watching the sunset while drinking pia colada. We
took advantage and joined them. It was the best sunset I have ever seen in my
life.
After that beautiful sunset, we decided to go to Loiza to eat some alcapurrias
and some mofongo with mariscos. We cleaned our spot, washed our BBQ grill,
took everything back to our cars and off we went to spend our night at Loiza.
Without a doubt, the beach is the best relaxing getaway.
