Classroom organization and Routines Paper

After observing the classroom organization and routines is clear they have a

system down. I think it is great they have a system in place because it is such a big

classroom. The best thing I have seen while I was there is having the teacher be at the

door handing out the worksheet for the day. Once they enter they know to look at the

board to see what side of the classroom they need to sit on.

The teachers all have the objectives on the board in with a main question, key

vocabulary, and homework. I have not seen any of the students use a calendar to write

down their homework. Also, I have not seeing the teacher direct the students attention to

the board when they ask what is for homework or what they missed yesterday. I think it is

great to have the learning objective on the board because during the lecture a teach can

anyways go back it.

I think this routine provided the class with organization to an extent. Then it

comes to class routine for bathroom or sharpening pencils they just get up and move

about. So there are always students moving around the classroom and leaving the

classroom. On the other hand, the students know not to leave the classroom until the bell

rings because if they do then it is a school wide punishment.
