SUMMATIVE ASSESSMENT (PROJECT)

MARCH 16, 2016 IRVING CEDILLO

TEKS: A.2
LINEAR FUNCTIONS, EQUATIONS, AND INEQUALITIES
Use your knowledge of graphing linear equations and slopes to do
the following project.

Step 1: Choose the number of lines you would like to have (my
example is 10 you cannot use 10 as your own). Hint: choose an
appropriate whole number large than 10

Step 2: Draw a coordinate plane with the corresponding X & Y axis

and label them as such. Hint: I have 10 lines so I made sure to have
my Domain [-10,10] and Range [-10,10]

Step 3: In the first quadrant connect the greatest Y value to the

lowest X value. What is the slope of that line? What is the equation
of that line? Important make sure your line segment is only drawn
in the first quadrant for an easier final project.
Step 4: Continue to by connecting the second greatest Y value to the
second lowest X value. Give the slope and equation for the second
line. Important remember to stay within the first quadrant only

Step 5: Following the pattern continue to connect Y and X values

and you should have something like the picture below.

Step 6: Reflect on how you think that the progression of slopes
caused a circular/smooth pattern from straight lines.

Step 7: Finish this process for the other 3 quadrants.
